Counselling is for anyone finding life difficult, overwhelming, or hard to manage alone. You may be
navigating specific transitions and challenges or simply have a sense that something does not feel
right. Therapy can be a space to understand yourself more deeply and make sense of your
experiences.
Therapy offers a space to pause, reflect, and be heard without judgement. Together, we can
explore what you are going through, make sense of patterns in your thoughts and feelings, and find
ways of coping that feel right for you. Therapy cannot remove life’s difficulties, but it can help you
feel more grounded and supported.
You can book an initial consultation through the contact page of this website. I offer a free 15-
minute phone call where we can talk about what has brought you to therapy, and whether I feel like
the right fit for you. There is no pressure to commit, and you are welcome to take time to decide.
Your first session is a chance for us to begin getting to know one another and to explore what has
brought you to therapy. We may talk about what is happening for you now, any relevant
background, and what you hope for from our work together. Together we will agree a counselling
contract so that you know what to expect from me, and from the therapeutic process. You do not
need to have everything worked out beforehand, and we will move at a pace that feels right for you.
Most clients attend weekly sessions, as this helps create a consistent therapeutic rhythm. However,
we can discuss what feels most supportive for you and consider this together depending on your
needs, availability, and circumstances.
The number of sessions will depend on your needs. Some people come for a short time to focus on a
specific issue, while others choose longer-term therapy. We can review this together as we go and
consider what feels most helpful for you
It is important to choose a therapist who is professionally trained, insured, and committed to ethical
practice. I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist and a registered member of the
British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I work in line with the BACP’s ethical
framework. If you are considering working with any therapist, it is always okay to ask about their
qualifications, professional body membership, and the way they work.
